Rachel Murphy has expressed concern about what happened to his 5-pound dog Toto last weekend. Rachel claims that a groomer taped Toto r’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.

Rachel explained, "My pet was clearly distressed. What I thought was a muff turned out to just be tape. Toto r was clearly injured and his paws were red. His toenails, cut too closely to the paws likely caused him to bite.


The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Wow! My Dog, a mobile pet salon.

Rachel took Toto immediately to the vet for immediate medical attention. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Wow! My Dog of animal abuse. San Jose initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.

Rachel described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."

Marianna De las Vegas posted on Yelp a review about how Wow! My Dog returned his animals to animal abuse background info him in a bad condition or with injuries. Another customer took a Snapchat of a dog appearing to be in pain. They claimed that a groomer inserted an ear napkin by force.

Wow! My Dog wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. Rachel shared: "Juliann told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Juliann claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."

Gate News contacted Wow! My Dog who answered it but handed it off to a woman, who informed her that she was investigating the allegations. However, when questioned about Wow! My Dog, she quickly asserted that it was a separate entity before abruptly ending the call.
